This air purifier works amazingly. We plugged it in and within 30 minutes there was honestly a change in the air quality. The air felt crisper and fresher. My husband and daughter have been getting sick a lot less and sneezing a lot less. There is also increased circulation in the room we have it in, and it is powerful enough to work in kitchen and living room, which are open to each other by a doorway and bar cut out. This is the best bang for the buck when it comes to larger air purifiers. The only drawback is the sound of the fan, but because it moves so much air and filters so much of it, you would only expect a huge fan inside. The benefit of this unit is the reusable filter, saving you great amounts of money by not having to replace the filter. Over time you will have to replace the carbon filter, but that is only for odor elimination. Otherwise you can filter all the dust and other particles for a very long time. If you want a silent, useless air cleaner, go buy an overpriced oreck or sharper image unit. It will reduce things like smoke and tiny, tiny particles, but forget it getting rid of dust. I know, I had one. If you want a unit that actually “Filters” the air, buy this. Sure on Medium or High this unit will add background noise, but on low, it is hardly noticable if it’s not right next to you. We noticed an immediate “crisp feel” to the air and huge reduction in dust in the air. My cough of 3 weeks is gone overnight. Coincidence.. I think not. (H. Nelson)
